December 2016: The Pop Culture Experiment!


The Pop Culture Experiment  is truly a joy–every Saturday morning from 10-11am, the gleefully geeky music enthusiast and journalist Patrick Garvin and a rotating cast of his colorful pals walk listeners through the history of classic songs and their many covers, taking fans on a sonic journey through time revisiting obscure reimaginings of old favorites. Join Patrick as he delves into the history of “Simple Man”, made famous by Lynyrd Skynyrd and covered by Deftones, Hank Williams Jr., and more.



October 2016: The Villens’ Den


October’s featured show is The Villen’s Den, a new show discussing local and world politics featuring a constantly evolving roster of eclectic and energetic guests. From local punk bands to comedians, politicians and other Somerville movers and shakers, The Villens’ Den does not shy away from discussing important and controversial topics. See for yourself with this mix of their latest show, which focused on the Black Lives Matter movement and modern racism and oppression in America.

September 2016: Techno Trash!


September’s featured show is Techno Trash, an eclectic mashup of electronic music and current news about all things trash-related. Host Cole Rosengren offers music you didn’t know you liked and news you didn’t know you needed, every Friday at 11 AM on BFR featuring techno tracks and trash headlines.
